Abstract
We aimed to study the changes in spirometric indices and quality of life of smoker and non-smoker COPD subjects over a period of 1 year. Methods: Physician confirmed 71 NS-COPD subjects, 54 S-COPD subjects underwent pre-post bronchodilator spirometry, SGRQ and CAT questionnaires administration at baseline and after 1 year of follow up. 100 healthy individuals were followed up for one year with pre-post spirometry as control population. Results: Mean (±SD) pre-bronchodilator FEV1 (L), FVC (L) values at baseline and change after 1 year for healthy, S-COPD and NS-COPD are mentioned in Table 1.
